Sonia Choquette is one of my greatest mentors. First of all I love her energy and her books on growing your intuition are great. For me, she embodies what being a psychic is about: working from your heart to help the world by looking into people's souls and helping them to be more of who they are by making the most of their world and their relationships.
In her books Sonia talks about how you can pay attention to the details of your life to grow your intuition because being intuitive is an exercise in paying attention to the subtleties.
We are constantly surrounded by spirit beings who are trying to communicate with us all of the time. While we would prefer their messages to be loud shouts, sometimes they are nearly silent whispers. Learning to listen is an exercise in believing that we are constantly surrounded by loving, guiding spirits who want to reach out and touch our lives.
Paying attention helps us to see this. I have provided a couple of details of how I have learned that spirits are talking to me to show you how subtle their signs are at times.
When my intuition started to come out really strong I started to notice that doors and objects on doors looked like they moved but I could not tell whether or not they moved. Over time I began to recognize that this subtle movement or energy movement was spirits way of getting my attention. I have learned to slow down and listen at these moments and, indeed, spirit usually is trying to tell me something when this happens. I just have to stop and listen.
Another example of spirit trying to communicate with me is a little bit more subtle. I see energy patterns (almost like the dark fuzz of television static) when spirits (especially spirits that have crossed over) try to communicate with me. I suspect that other people might see this same energy pattern but not recognize it as spirit trying to communicate with them.
I was telling my friend about this and relayed a story that I had heard about how many large ships had passed by this Native American Tribe on the Floridian shores during the time of Columbus. The Natives did not "see" the ships until a shaman had a vision of a ship and then identified the ships at sea. Is it possible that many of us are seeing spirit in its various forms but we are not recognizing their signs just as the Native Americans could not recognize the ships until the ships were pointed out to them?
Pay attention to the details. Notice the subtleties and assume that you are constantly surrounded by spirit guides and that they want and try to talk to you all the time.
Thank you for listening. I hope that you are listening to your spirit guides as well.
