Can a Past Life Affect This Lifetime?

A lot of times readings are great learning experiences for me and I get to meet a lot of wonderful people. I have done a number of Past Life readings and generally get information on past lives. To me, they are just as important as this lifetime in explaining what, exactly is going on with someone, especially in regards to their relationships.

What I have learned, through time, is that our relationships start off, in this lifetime, where they left off in the last lifetime.

Both Edgar Cayce and Dr. Brian Weiss (in his book Only Love is Real) talks about this phenomena as well.

Kevin Todeschi's Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records says "In terms of personal relationships, Edgar Cayce stated that we never meet anyone by chance, nor do we ever have an emotional connection (positive or negative) to another individual for the first time. Relationships are an ongoing learning and experiential process. In other words, we pick up our relationships exactly where it was left the last time around."

Not only have I seen this pattern repeated, over and over again, in readings I have seen it in my own life.

My mom, sister and I had a past life in which my mom was my mom, my sister was my sister (with some sort of disability). My mom doted on my sister because of her disability and I was very jealous explaing why in this, current lifetime I was very, very jealous of my sister from an early age.

I know that knowing about this past life has helped me navigate and heal relationships from my past. As soon as I learned about the past life with my mom and sister I could forgive myself and my mom for this lifetime.

I have another situation in which I can see, clearly, how the past life relationship that I had with another individual mirrored exactly what occurred in this lifetime. I don't want to share the details for this individual's sake, but I must say that I am a little confused on how to move forward. If the relationship didn't improve do you leave it as is and know that there will be other opportunities to better it in other lifetimes or do you keep trying to make peace with it, in this lifetime?

I do believe that the people that you have unresolved issues with from other lifetimes keep appearing in your life and are, in a way, magnetized to you and you to them. Any thoughts?

Afterword: I am currently editing a channeled book and came across this tidbit about mending the relationships in our current lives. If we don't mend these relationships in this lifetime we will assuredly attract them like bees on honey in future lifetimes, with the same issues to resolve.

"You see these relationships stick with us throughout our lifetimes and we will repeat the same patterns with these people and instead of repelling their energy or energies we will attract them like bees on a honey pie. What I am saying is that if you don’t resolve your differences with people in this lifetime you will, guaranteed, draw that person to yourself in parallel universes of simultaneous or other lifetimes GUARANTEED. You see, instinctually, there is a part of our beings that knows that relationships are a major part of our living and being and existing. We strive to be clear of friction in our lives, to love and to love purely without guilt, retribution and fear. What we need to be aware of is that the problems that exist between ourselves and others do not merely vanish. In fact, in some or all cases, the problems fester like a mold and grow larger and larger. I cannot emphasize enough just how important it is for all of us to realize what an important aspect our interpersonal relationships are in all of life and really great care should be taken to mend these relationships as they are broken."

Wall Art

Artwork is expensive and even though you pay the price you don't always get exactly what you want so I decided to use my resources and make my own wall art.

Supplies:
Store-bought greeting cards
Canvasses
A borrowed projector
Wall paint
Scrapbooking paper
Mod Podge

How-to:
1. Paint the background color of the canvas.
2. Scan the image of the greeting cards.
3. Use the projector to project the scanned image of the cards onto the pre-painted canvas.
4. Trace the projected image of the card onto the canvas. I used a pencil to trace the image of the card.
5. Fill in the image with paint.
6. Choose a complimentary scrapbook paper image. I used paper with modern flowers and cut out the flowers.
7. Arrange the flowers on the painted canvas.
8. Attach the scrapbook images with Mod Podge.

Viola...cheap, customized artwork!

Drawers Turned Into Artwork

I love Pinterest and all of the inspiration that it provides. I got this idea of creating wall art with drawers, cardboard (to wrap the fabric around) and fabric.
Thanks so much for the inspiration Pinterest:

Looking For a Number?

I must admit that I have had a hard time listening lately. A part of me is in rebellion screaming to the universe, "Do I have a big 'Kick Me' sign on my back?"

I keep listening and I keep getting in situations that are hard, really hard, back breakingly hard. I want to listen, I know better than not to listen, but I keep going into difficult situations with reticence and keep coming up hurt.

So guys, guides, angels...here's the thing...I don't want to do this anymore. Can we have some grace, some ease, something wonderful...please?

I don't ask for much...I just don't want all the hurt. I have started to shut down, not listen, because I don't know what to trust and I don't want to hurt.

I thought for so long that the one thing that I could trust was my voice, my inner knowing. I got courageous...did a few things...that were hard, that I tested out, that I followed through with...that as you are hearing...didn't really work out.

My best defense was to stop listening...at least for awhile...like a rebellious teen that knew that mom and dad knew best but wasn't really willing to listen...just for awhile.

Well mom and dad are still trying to get my attention and I must say that I am glad that they are not totally abandoning me. I am glad that guides do not give up, they persist, they are resourceful in their own ways and scream and yell until we listen...again or once or twice or always.

I know that they are always at our disposal waiting to serve in whatever means possible and I am grateful for that. :)

And I am particularly grateful for the messages that have come through in the form of numerology.

222 - when I was wondering about getting back together with an ex and reaching out to the universe for a sign this number popped out of the clock on my desk phone. I felt like, in combination with the other signs that I had received that this was a good sign to move forward.

According to Doreen Virtue 222 means "Have faith. Everything’s going to be all right. Don’t worry about anything, as this situation is resolving itself beautifully for everyone involved."

444 - yesterday this number popped out on my iPhone. At this moment I can see that the angels are surrounding me and letting me know that I am not alone and I am grateful for this message.

According to Doreen Virtue 444 means "Thousands of angels surround you at this moment, loving and supporting you. You have a very strong and clear connection with the angelic realm, and are an Earth angel yourself. You have nothing to fear—all is well."

1111 - I quickly glanced at my clock and this number appeared yesterday. Again, I am grateful for the message that I am not alone and am being supported. Thank you for not abandoning me.

According to my guidance 1111 means that we are on the right path and divinely guided. All is well. No need to worry.

I know enough to know that we are not alone and in these moments where I question (everything) I am glad to know that I still have friends and guides and companions.

It is further proof that our guides go out of their way to scream, shout and constantly remind us (even when we are diligently trying not to listen) that we are not alone and are unconditionally loved and supported.

I am grateful for your presence and someday I might have greater understanding of all the wisdom that you have provided for me and I might possibly be grateful for all of the advice that you have given me even though your navigational skills have put me on some pretty rocky roads.:)

ps. After I wrote this post I had the feeling that I needed to turn to a page in In His Words (a book that I channeled from a 23-year old who had crossed over. It's a story about not giving up on life and life after death from a 23-year old guy's perspective...on the other side). I just wanted to share the entry that I turned to. It was a timely message:) and once again I am grateful.

"By the end of my more earthbound moments I was able to create mystical events that defied reason. On one such occasion, I created a whirlwind of commotion in the bounds of Rhonda's workplace. I knocked out a ceiling tile that was held in place by a simple lock although it was difficult to fool. What I did was I became physical in that one single moment. It was not something that I intended to do, I just wanted her to know that I was still around her even though she was not always aware of that." (p 29)

10 Things I Know To Be True

I found this TED video of Sarah Kay and fell in love. I think most of all it speaks to a part of me that knows that each of us have something to contribute, that each of us has genius. Part of that genius is tapping into that part of us that is unique, that is uniquely genius not being someone or something that we are not.

I am beginning to see this quite clearly, through personal experience and pain. Me trying to be someone else when I know clearly who I am is not working. Maybe being who I am is hard, but trying to be someone else is currently proving to be much harder.

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”― Albert Einstein

I think we can all resonate with this on some level. I remember the first time I learned this I was in 7th grade trying so desperately to be popular and the more I tried the harder it was. My dad sensed what was going on and he told me "No matter how hard you try you can't make everyone happy. You have to make yourself happy first." That lesson changed my life, it is a lesson I relay repeatedly and it is something that I have to remember time and time again. Because, time and time again, I am faced with that same lesson. I can't make everyone happy. I can only do my best, search myself for the right course of action, and act in a way that makes me proud.

So I was inspired by this video and would love to hear what other people know. I have quickly compiled my list and would like to share my list and see your lists, if possible. In this way, we can grow and expand and possibly learn from one another. I do believe we have genius within all of us if only we explore who we are and the unique selves and gifts that we bring to the world.

The 10 Things I Know To Be True:
1. People, not things, matter most.
2. I learned this one being a teacher's assistant for a Kindergarten class: it's ok to say your sorry because even though you didn't mean to hurt someone sometimes you do hurt them and it's ok to say you are sorry.
3. Life is full of miracles. If you expect to see miracles they will appear.
4. Go with your gut. You know well enough, by now, if you don't that you will regret that you didn't.
5. Have faith in people because we are all trying our best to get by.
6. Forgive for yourself because being bitter and angry only hurts you. Don't allow another person to take any more of your energy than they deserve.
7. People come into your life for a reason even if it is to teach you a lesson through hardship. Pay attention to those lessons and learn so that you don't have to learn them again.
8. Life is full of learning. Learn the lessons because the same lesson will be put in front of your face, time and time again, until you learn it. Often the lesson gets more insistent and painful the more that you ignore it so that you learn from it.
9. Love. Even if it's hard, especially if it's hard.
10. You have an infinite support system, they are called spirit guides. They are always there to talk to you and you can talk to them anytime. I have always known that life is hard and it is easy to feel all alone and I knew that there was more support out there. There is an abundant amount of support, in the form of spirit guides, waiting anxiously for us to ask for help. Ask for help you might be surprised at the answer(s) you may find.

I would love to know what you know. Much of my list comes from my experience as a Psychic Medium who has seen a lot of lives, who sees the same patterns and/or lessons through the canvas of other people's lives (both living and dead). Perhaps the most profound of my experiences comes from talking to people who have crossed over. From them I have learned the importance of people and relationships. This is one of the only legacies that lives on from lifetime to lifetime. We don't take our savings, our cars, our houses with us, but we do take the way that we treat and are treated by people. Be nice to one another;).

A Ray on a Cloudy Day: Brene Brown

I was praying for grace...I know that's the way life is sometimes...looking for that ray of sunshine in the perpetual darkness of the cloudy skies that extend for days and I stumbled upon this video. It was my ray of sunshine. I hope the sun shines for days from this one ray of lightness...enjoy! I also think there are some people...one in particular that I need to be more vulnerable to...

Energy Work to Heal the Earth

One of my clients was telling me that she healed the Earth. I was immediately intrigued and thought that I needed to do this in my yard. I moved into a new home and did a pretty shotty job of ammending the soil and so my plants were a little slow to grow.

I decided to imagine putting bubbles of energy deep in the soil and then putting energy on top of the soil. I try to remember to do this as often as possible and I send lots of love to my yard as much as possible. It is so easy to be pleased with a flower garden. It doesn't matter how bad your day is when you see a flower bloom for the first time of the season it is like falling in love with nature's beauty time and time again. I love watching my garden grow.

I was pleased with my garden's progression although I didn't know if the energy work was working or not then I noticed my tree. My tree was almost dead when I moved in as were most of the newly planted trees in my neighbor's yard. At one point in the late spring/early summer my aunt and uncle commented that they thought that my tree was dead. At this point we all noticed how my tree and my neighbor's tree only had a few unhealthy looking red/orange leaves sprouting from a few of the branches. Just a few weeks later I noticed that my tree had pulled through and then I looked over at my neighbor's tree and it didn't have any leaves on it in June. Their tree looked dead or close to dead while my tree looked much healthier. I must say my tree still looks sad and pathetic much like a Charlie Brown tree but it didn't die.

I would have to say that the energy work worked! I must, once again, thank my client(s) for all that they have taught me.

Am I Headed in the Wrong Direction?

I was at a crosswalk and heard a lot of honking. I looked up and saw a car going the wrong way on a major, six lane road. Watching the interaction I was thinking of how nice it would be if life honked at you to warn you that you were headed in the wrong direction. Then I started thinking of a recent reading that I had done in which my client had told me that she just wanted to know if she was headed in the wrong direction or not.

Immediately my head started spinning with memories of times when I had, in fact, been warned that I had been heading the wrong direction. Spirit has a way of communcating to us in a wonderful magnitude of ways; here is a list of just a few instances in which I can see that spirit was trying to warn me or someone else about the direction that I/we had been headed:

1. We were camping in Glacier National Park and as we were checking out this campsite I had an ominous feeling and even mentioned to my campmates that something felt rather like the movie "Deliverance." Then a man on a three wheeler told us to be careful about bears visiting our campsite. Then I had this feeling that we would be visited by bears. What happened that night? A momma and baby cub bear came to visit our camp site.

2. A friend of mine was traveling to Steamboat, CO for the weekend. The day that he left he hit a duck with his car, then at work his colleagues were talking about moose and hitting moose with your car. That night he hit a moose with his car. In retrospect, of course, I can see how hitting a duck and talking about hitting a moose foreshadowed his accident that night and were, in fact, signs of what was to come.

3. I was preparing for a date with a guy and I burned my hand on the stove. I remember thinking that this burn was a sign. When the relationship didn't work out the way that I wanted it to I could see how that was spirit trying to tell me about the nature of this relationship: yes, the burn/way the relationship ended hurt, but now there is barely a scar (just a small reminder of the pain).

4. I was speeding and heard, "slow down." Thankfully, I immediately slowed down because 20 seconds later I passed a cop.

I can think of so many other instances (big and small) in which life/spirit was trying to warn me about going in the wrong direction or at least trying to redirect my path. I feel so much more comforted by the world when I know that I am divinely protected by my loving guides.

Psychic Protection Hint #3: Grounding Your Energy

Grounding is very important for many reasons. One of the most important reasons for being grounded is so that you are fully aware, present and making the most of this life experience. Life is a gift; it is important to "be here" to enjoy ever single moment of it.

If we are ungrounded some of our experiences tend to be "out there" and it is hard for us to relate or have people relate to us. While being "out there" is enticing and wonderful we do have these precious, few moments here on Earth and we benefit by making the most of this life experience, in these bodies, here on Earth.

The following is an grounding exercise taken from His Words, channeled by Rhonda O'Brien.

Breath is a very easy tool to use to get you into a relaxed state. If you imagine that the breath that you inhale and exhale travels through your body and reaches every particle of your body you are already there. So what I suggest is that you take a deep inhale; make it last as long as you comfortably can.
As you inhale imagine a single molecule of that breath, it can be a bright light, a speck or any sort of shape and form that you can easily and effortlessly imagine, going from your lips and following your trachea and going through your shoulders, down your upper arms and down your lower arms and out through your fingertips. You should then imagine following the same path as you exhale.

With the next inhale you are going to follow that molecule and make it to your neck, your shoulders, your upper chest, your heart, your lungs, your chest, your abdomen, all of your upper and lower intestines and then your reproductive organs.

The more visual you become the easier it is for you to breathe and to relax. You do not need to get too, too technical here. If you don’t know exactly where your ovaries are it is fine. The visualization part is what matters most here. Then you want to imagine that molecule traveling the same path as you exhale and release that breath.

Good job, now we are going to inhale and this time the molecule will rapidly meet your thighs and then travel all the way down to your tippy toes and then right back up. While you are doing this I want you to start thinking of the world, the universe outside of yourself and I want you to be aware of the fact that you are infinitely connected with the rest of the universe outside of yourself. This can just extend to your family and friends or it can expand to the outer universe as far as the eye can see and beyond.

So with your next inhale I am going to have you take that molecule of breath, allow it to flow through your body, down to your toes and then down to the Earth. Depending on how deep your breath is it can reach the topsoil or even as far down as the mantle of the Earth.

Now the challenge is in your next breath you are going to inhale so much oxygen that you can reach the very center of the Earth. So as you are exhaling you are preparing for the gigantic inhale that you are about to take. With one, single breath you are going to pull that single molecule through your trunk of your body, down your legs, out your toes and to the central part of the Earth. Once you are at central part of the Earth you are going to sense, feel or just know that you are connected to the very core of our Mother Earth and then with your exhale you are going to follow that same path through the mantle, crust and up your toes, through your legs and on up your spine through your midriff, your chest, your neck and out through your lips.

Automatic Writing Meditation

Good job. Now take a few more shallow breaths to catch your breath. We do not want to pass out. Okay now one more time and then that is all. What you are going to do is connect with the universe outside of yourself and you are going to do so in a manner that only draws in the positive energies that you encounter.

So I will briefly describe what it is that you are to do and then you will follow through with my instructions. So what you are going to do is let go of your breath and allow it to take its own rhythm, relax and enjoy where it can take you but now we are going to be aware of the energy and the life that this breath allows you. Imagine that seed of energy in the pit of your belly or somewhere around your center. Allow it to be a ball of light or some source of energy that feels light, free, refreshing and healing.

Imagine as you are breathing in that cool, refreshing light that that light grows and it grows and it grows as though it were a bubble or a flower or a leaf or whatever image works for you. Imagine that as you breath in and out it grows larger and larger and larger until it is flooding your whole body or being with that light. Now allow it to also grow because light attracts light and now your light is attracting all of the light and the love and the peace that is you and that surrounds you and so your entire being is encompassed by this light and due to its refractive and reflective nature that light becomes so huge that all that you are and all that surrounds you is this light. And it is you. And it is you.

Now sit back and enjoy this light. This is all of the love and the light and the joy and the peace that is you and now it also encompasses the world beyond. Now what you are going to do is draw your attention back into your body, so imagine that bright, large light that encompasses all concentrating itself into a ball about the size of your fist and as you inhale you will gradually bring that ball back and in and to your center. This can take several breaths so breathe in and follow the path through your palette, down your windpipes and on down to your center. This can take as little or as long as you feel necessary.

Now what we also need to do at this point is extinguish anything on the inside or on the outside that is not light so continue to breath in the light and ask that the light naturally follow the path to the spots or the places in your body that might need the light. Now there may not be the need for any light in any place in one’s body and so if that is the case then be grateful. As you exhale ask that the exhale bring anything that is not light to the outside of the body where it instantly becomes light in the presence of all of the light that is reflected and retracted by the light within.

So we are going to sit with this relaxation exercise for a few more minutes. (It really can last as little or as long as you would like). Typically I would wait until you are really feeling relaxed and quite removed from your worries and almost as if you are disengaged from the rambling of the mind. What you want is for the chatter to stop so the vibrations, the naturally occurring airwaves, can be received and heard by the vessel that is you.

Your hands are just like the wheels on a typewriter, they are just responding to the messages or the orders that tell them which letters to strike onto the paper that is yours. It is no more than being a transcriptionist. It is just like you are the receiver receiving the signals that are the air or radio waves.

On the count of ten we are to begin. You can begin to count slowly in your mind, when you get to three you are going to say, is “one is all and all is one,” and then with the pen or pencil in hand you will begin to write. If nothing comes to your mind then ask that the image or the sound or the mark come to you quite easily and without effort and that maybe you will or will not understand its meaning but you will appreciate all that there is.

Some of you may prefer to put your writing utensil in your other hand. This allows the thinking mind to rest as it gets over stimulated and it cannot control the mind, as it is more concerned about writing the letters or creating and its new challenges “at hand.” Whatever you do, whatever method you choose do it with relative ease. While it is tempting to expect great works of art to come through immediate effort it really is not practical to expect so much.

Psychic Protection Hint #2

We (each and every one of us) all have spirit guides whose life purpose is to guide and protect us. Use your spirit guides as often as possible.

How do you make contact with your spirit guides?

I strongly recommend reading Sonia Choquette's Ask Your Guides. She has many hints, exercises and meditations that will help you contact your guides on a regular basis.

How do you know which spirit guide you are talking to?

I often talk to my grandpa and grandma so I am already fairly familiar with their energy. My grandpa was not very talkative in real life so when he is around I either feel his hands on my shoulders and/or hear "chiropractor" (he was a chiropractor) and then I know that it is him. With my grandma I either hear the word "grandma" or I hear her voice.

I also see flashes of white lights or subtle energy patterns which make me aware that my guides are trying to talk to me.

Your guides might develop their own, individual ways of getting your attention as well.

PLEASE NOTE: it is very important to know the source of the information that you are getting. I also check the information that I get before I act on most information especially information that prompts me to "go out on a limb." I either draw from my divination cards or I ask for signs.

Psychic Protection Hint #1

A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows. ~St. Francis of Assisi

This is the easiest and most critical piece of advice that I can give anyone who communicates with the spirit realm: surround yourself in white light. Darkness is repelled by the light. It is the perfect antidote to darkness and it is so easy.

No, You're Not Crazy; You're Psychic

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Martin Luther King Jr.

My journey as a psychic began with much fear and paranoia. In retrospect, I can see that I have been intuitive all of my life however, my journey to discovering this began at the age of 21 when I got really sick and couldn’t really eat for a month. People talk about the “cleansing” affects of fasting; I think that my non-voluntary fast opened me up a little too quickly for my comfort level.

I remember feeling as though I had walked through a vortex and that my life experience(s) had forever changed. I was instantly aware that there were spirits around me and I could see their energy in a way that I could not describe to others, but I could see that they were around me (it is much like an energy pattern).

I started to meditate and had visions of all sorts. The most profound vision that I had was of an eagle eating my heart out. This experience was so real: I actually felt the eagle sweep down out of the sky and felt the physical pain of having my heart eaten out by an eagle. Yeah…I was a little bit freaked out about this experience.

My fear was exacerbated by the fact that I saw my psychologist write the word “delusional” as I was pouring my heart out to him about my recent experiences. From this point forward I was truly convinced that I was crazy and was often times paralyzed with this fear as I would lay in the fetal position in my bed terrified of being carried away in a straight jacket.

To deal with my fear I started smoking pot 24/7. In my mind it was easier to justify my “craziness” as being “high” rather than be crazy.

Luckily fate intervened and I realized with the help of some amazing teachers that my “delusions” were actually part of being psychic, a gift; not some demoralizing sentence to the madhouse. And then there was...
The moment that I realized that I was psychic I started my mission to help people realize that their visions/experiences were gifts not an assured sentence to the “nuthouse.”

I have remained relatively quiet about my mission up to this point in time. I try to educate as many people as possible about ornery spirits and how to protect themselves from their “trickery.”

I have decided, though, that being a quiet, though diligent messenger is not enough after meeting/doing a reading for a woman whose doctors and herself are convinced that she is crazy because she talks to spirits.

When she asked me about the voices and what they told her all that I could hear was that she wasn’t crazy and that she just didn’t know some basic steps to protect her from the menacing spirits.

I told her that she had a spirit guide that was there to protect her and that she was only to speak to this one guardian spirit. If the other, menacing spirits wanted to talk to her I told her that they were to talk to her guardian angel, not her.

I also told her to protect herself with “white light” as the darker spirits are afraid of the light.

Seeing her pain, seeing how lost she was made me want to reach deeper into hers and other worlds of pain and show people that there are simple tools accessible to all that can and do protect one from the suffering caused by these ornery spirits.

You see, the spirit world, just like this world is filled with confused beings who like to play and mess with us. They are no different than the confused beings that fill the jails and create chaos in our day-to-day lives.

Please continue visiting my blog for a few, simple, straight forward tools that can help you safely navigate through the spirit world without fear.

Guardian Angels are Real

I get so excited when I talk about guardian angels because I don't think people realize how real they are and how much they really love, guard and protect us.

I have many stories but this one happened yesterday and my mind is still reeling about it.

I went to visit my aunt and uncle and my uncle was telling me about how concerned he was about money. He is in one of the hardest hit occupations (construction) and recently had to pull money from his retirement to pay bills.

My grandma (who passed in 2007) talks to me all of the time, but she rarely has me relay messages. Yesterday she waited until my uncle and I were alone and then she made her presence known by giving me chills and she told me to tell my uncle "Tell him money will be okay."

That was all that my uncle needed to hear. Although a cynic he did tell my aunt and they both wanted me to hear the details of the conversation. When I retold the story there were tears in my uncle's eyes.

I love how my grandma chose the right time (when my uncle and I were alone) and the right words (not too many, not to few) to reach out and give my uncle a hand. Thank you grandma! I love you...and Dave loves you too!

Animal Communication: Talking to Birds

Hello Spring! I am so glad you are finally here!

One of my favorite things about spring is the return of the birds. I have recently started running and hiking as opposed to working out in a gym due to the richness of being in nature and talking to the animals and the plants.

My favorite jogging companions are the birds because they talk to me non-stop. They are the most communicative of all the animals that I encounter on my path (and that includes prairies dogs, dogs and rabbits). I think that it is no coincidence that they talk so much and the fact that they are referred to as “messengers” by Sonia Choquette and carrier pigeons actually did carry letters/messages for humans in ancient civilizations.

I wonder what makes birds to akin to humans. I also wonder if we have always had a strong connection with our feathered friends? I suspect that we have had a strong connection with birds and that is why they constantly try to talk to us.

Most birds do try to talk to me (when I am tapped in). It doesn’t matter if the bird is alone or in a school/group they always want to talk. What is most fascinating, though, is the fact that the birds can and do tap into what is on my mind and they give me guidance about whatever is on my mind. I don’t have to ask the question; they just seem to know my question and answer it. And it doesn’t matter what bird or birds I talk to on any given day; they all tell me the same message (in almost the exact same words).

This ability to tap into me must be what makes birds so good at predicting the weather and so able to flawlessly travel in schools. It also must be what makes birds such wonderful companions.

I don’t want to take a bird home and cage it up but I do always want birds to be on my path so that they may lead me on my way. Thank you birds for being such wonderful messengers!

Being Psychic is a Matter of Paying Attention to Details

Sonia Choquette is one of my greatest mentors. First of all I love her energy and her books on growing your intuition are great. For me, she embodies what being a psychic is about: working from your heart to help the world by looking into people's souls and helping them to be more of who they are by making the most of their world and their relationships.

In her books Sonia talks about how you can pay attention to the details of your life to grow your intuition because being intuitive is an exercise in paying attention to the subtleties.

We are constantly surrounded by spirit beings who are trying to communicate with us all of the time. While we would prefer their messages to be loud shouts, sometimes they are nearly silent whispers. Learning to listen is an exercise in believing that we are constantly surrounded by loving, guiding spirits who want to reach out and touch our lives.

Paying attention helps us to see this. I have provided a couple of details of how I have learned that spirits are talking to me to show you how subtle their signs are at times.

When my intuition started to come out really strong I started to notice that doors and objects on doors looked like they moved but I could not tell whether or not they moved. Over time I began to recognize that this subtle movement or energy movement was spirits way of getting my attention. I have learned to slow down and listen at these moments and, indeed, spirit usually is trying to tell me something when this happens. I just have to stop and listen.

Another example of spirit trying to communicate with me is a little bit more subtle. I see energy patterns (almost like the dark fuzz of television static) when spirits (especially spirits that have crossed over) try to communicate with me. I suspect that other people might see this same energy pattern but not recognize it as spirit trying to communicate with them.

I was telling my friend about this and relayed a story that I had heard about how many large ships had passed by this Native American Tribe on the Floridian shores during the time of Columbus. The Natives did not "see" the ships until a shaman had a vision of a ship and then identified the ships at sea. Is it possible that many of us are seeing spirit in its various forms but we are not recognizing their signs just as the Native Americans could not recognize the ships until the ships were pointed out to them?

Pay attention to the details. Notice the subtleties and assume that you are constantly surrounded by spirit guides and that they want and try to talk to you all the time.

Thank you for listening. I hope that you are listening to your spirit guides as well.

25 Tips For Obtaining Psychic Information

Whether you are a psychic or an aspiring intuitive this list is intended to guide you through the ever-changing turnstile of being intuitive. Although it is a great, a great skill that gives over and over again you never know what life will throw you by the way of information to share with yourself, your client or your friends and family. Enjoy and feel free to contribute to my list:

• PSYCLARITYTIP1: Give gratitude daily. You can never be too grateful
• PSYCLARITYTIP2: Meditate at least 10 minutes/day.
• PSYCLARITYTIP3: If you get an intuitive nudge act on it. The sooner the better.
• PSYCLARITYTIP2: If you don’t understand what you are getting say “I don’t understand but maybe it will make sense to you.” And then describe exactly what you are experiencing without interpretation. Get out of the way of the message.
• PSYCLARITYTIP4: Never guess.
• PSYCLARITYTIP5: Report exactly what you are seeing, feeling, hearing, knowing or experiencing; nothing more.
• PSYCLARITYTIP6: Be patient. Allow the information to flow in its own time.
• PSYCLARITYTIP7: Don’t invalidate what you are seeing by saying, “this is crazy.” What you are getting has meaning for your client.
• PSYCLARITYTIP8: If you don’t know if the information is yours or your clients send it away and it will reappear if it is your clients.
• PSYCLARITYTIP9: Remember the information is “as things stand now” and that the future is never “set in stone.”
• PSYCLARITYTIP10: Tell people that this is the outcome as things stand now, but that the future can change if their thoughts, feelings, emotions and/or actions change.
• PSYCLARITYTIP11: Breathe. When we don’t breathe we are cut off from life.
• PSYCLARITYTIP12: Trust.
• PSYCLARITYTIP13: Do not edit the message. You can ask that the message come in a gentler form.
• PSYCLARITYTIP14: Your job is just to report what you are “getting.”
• PSYCLARITYTIP15: Do not let your ego get involved in the process. You are reporting what you are experiencing. Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth. Don't take it personally. You are, merely, the messenger.
• PSYCLARITYTIP16: Try to see that “soul” of the person.
• PSYCLARITYTIP17: Psychic information comes from the heart so try to remain open hearted. This may take work but it is well worth the effort regardless of whether you are intuitive or not.
• PSYCLARITYTIP18: Do not judge your client; remember we are here to learn.
• PSYCLARITYTIP19: Try to have fun. It helps people see that life is not SO serious.
• PSYCLARITYTIP20: Be yourself. Honor what form the information comes in. Some people see, some people hear, some people feel, some people know. The way that it comes to you is exactly as it should be. Try to trust yourself even though it feels scary. With more practice trust becomes easier and easier.
• PSYCLARITYTIP21: Do not second guess yourself.
• PSYCLARITYTIP23: Practice. Guess the next commercial, what time it is, what someone is about to say…
• PSYCLARITYTIP24: Do not forget that you are just the messenger. Don’t get attached (to validation).
• PSYCLARITYTIP25: Have patience with yourself and the process. Do not give up!
Trusting is often a leap of faith. Don't give up. It will get easier with time.

We Are All One

Chapter taken from Light, channeled by Rhonda O'Brien

Enlightenment might mean different things for you and me but there is a common thread which connects us: we are all children waiting to be reunited with our mothers or really the source or essence of all that we are. We all crave a common identity as one, the very magical force responsible for the earth, the moon, the sun, the planets, really all that is. In terms that we can all identify with, this means that we are all secretly searching for the god or goddess within. One way or another we all know that we are, in fact, made of the same substance that our creator is made of. We are one with god, thus we are god. Although some of us seem farther and farther from this truth; we all instinctively know this truth and throughout our lifetimes we move closer and closer to knowing this and expressing it in the manner that we live our lives.

We are all one. We are all god. I could say it over and over again and you would not really hear these words, unless you were able and ready to hear them. This is a hard fact for us to face, for we often seem so far from this truth in the manner in which we progress through life. We might believe that we are fighting to get money, fighting to be heard, fighting for this or that. The reality of the situation, however, is that, with a proper world view, we begin to realize that there is enough for everyone including ourselves, that the struggle exists within ourselves. This struggle is to acknowledge the fact that everything is okay and that all will be provided us if only we let it be so. With this new, relaxed attitude we can also start to think that if the same were true for us then the same is true for others so that sharing is more of a commonality than hoarding. With this comes the unity that comes with equality. If you feel that all are your equals then how much harder is it to squash the “little” guy? It is much more difficult. Why don’t you go ahead and try to ask a colleague to go make your copies or fetch you a cup of coffee. It would take some major guts and most likely (unless you have a relationship of mutual generosity) your request would not be met with great enthusiasm.

Guess what? We are all colleagues. This caste system, these imaginary lines separating us from our friends, relatives and neighbors does nothing but separate us. Alone we cannot feel, see, believe, achieve or be as much as we can if we let those outside of ourselves (including the spirits that constantly bless us with their presence) in. If we continue to believe that one person could be or is superior to another then we neglect to see that we are all equals and so the great inequalities that we witness in and amongst our worlds continue to exist. If you are frustrated with the inequalities that you see in your life and beyond then you must first start with your mind and change it. Do you think that one person is better than another because of the job that one person possesses? Do you think that women are more capable than men? Do you believe that all politicians are crooks? Do you believe that white is better than another color: black, red, yellow or brown? If you answered, “yes,” to any of the previously mentioned questions then you, yes you, are also to blame for the inequalities that we all see and complain about so, so much. In order to see permanent and total change outside of ourselves we must first see permanent and total change from within ourselves. We cannot ask others to do what we, ourselves, are unable to do. So I suggest that each day you take a moment to honor the god or goddess in all beings, regardless of color, creed, economics, race, gender or individual behavioral patterns. In this small gesture we allow and encourage the god or goddess within to come out to play. This resounding power has lain dormant in so, so many beings because it is not allowed to play in a world laden with death and poverty and destruction. You see, the divine has no place in this world where money is more important that bugs, beasts and human beings. The divine allows the destruction to play its part: it does not interfere until it is asked to come and help to rectify the damages done by thinking that we are all separate. However, when asked, it is also quick to come to the rescue when things are not going in a manner that is beneficial to all. What we are talking about is really love. Love is the god or the goddess in all of us. It is the source that blends and molds all into one. It is powerful beyond measure and once it starts to do its thing (love any and all things and beings) it is unstoppable. So no matter how big or bad or “evil” things appear love will cure all. It is the antidote to any illness that any, and all, beings or life must face. So beware of the force of god or love it is out to get any and all things that stand in its way and nothing, yes nothing, will stop its amazing force if, and when, we allow it out and into our lives.

So I encourage any and all beings willing to risk a life of love and trust and tranquility to let the divine or the love out of its dark quarters and into your life where it can shine and help transform the destruction into the divine. Love is an amazing force without limits. You will be shocked, when you finally let it out, how much it can do with little or no effort on your part and how contagious love really is. When you give of yourself and express the love in yourself it gives again and again and again, and its range is well beyond anything that one person can witness on his or her own. I guess all that one can do is to encourage all beings to love where there is hate, to love where there is fear and know that everything, yes everything, is okay despite whatever others may say or think. We have to make this Earth okay and we will, but first we must change ourselves, our lives for the better then, and only then, can we hope to make the universe outside of ourselves okay and fertile ground for all of life. As it stands now, the Earth is losing its ability to foster any sort of life: it is drained of its life force and looking for sources to replenish this valuable energy source. We are the life source: we are capable of great destruction as well as great miracles. It is up to us to decide whether we are going to continue to deplete the Earth or whether we are going to start massive efforts to revive her.

We have many things to do, many decisions to make. Some of us have already decided. Some have come to this planet to help and to heal. These are our brothers, our sisters, our mothers and our fathers, all people that surround us who have decided to take on this problem single-handedly. They do not care whether anyone else is concerned with the well-being of the Earth, because they know that their efforts to work on themselves and beyond will someday pay off in great ways. For instance, these are the individuals involved in self-improvement who always see that things are working out exactly the way that they should. These are beings of tremendous faith who know that someday, yes some day, we will see “a place without war or conflict, a place,..” a place that John Lennon imagined in his appropriately named song, Imagine. This place is not just a figment of an individual’s mind, it is a very real possibility if only people start creating a world without conflict in their personal lives then, and only then, can we hope that the world outside of ourselves reflects this very perfection. See this as an ideal or see it as a goal; it is your choice. Let me just warn you though that many, many beings are making this a reality within their personal lives. As a result, we will see boundaries between peoples, between countries, between races, between religions, between all lives melding into one. You will see a gradual demise of the warring tribes that we have witnessed for thousands upon thousands of years. For whatever reason, people are beginning to realize that if we continue on this road, there will be nothing, yes nothing, to fight over. If war is your answer to conflict it could end up creating the destruction of all life. The presence of nuclear warfare makes mass destruction a very real consequence of people just plain not being able to get along.

So if you are at all concerned about the well-being of this Earth, I urge you to seek the peace within, from there you can do no wrong. This is truly one instance where every single person does matter in that your efforts make a great difference in the well-being of all. Remember that we are all connected and that when you cry we all cry and when you laugh we all laugh. Do it for yourself, because your life will, undoubtedly, improve for the better, but also do it for everyone and everything else in this universe. I thank you in advance for your efforts. Amen.

Edgar Cayce's Adventures in Dreamland 1

I am loving how so many pieces of my life are finally fitting together. Thank you so much universe! I know that if we listen our lives take on a new rhythm and beat that is more beautiful that we could have ever imagined.

Last September I had heard, from spirit, that something amazing was about to happen to me and then I heard dreams.

A month or two after that Edgar Cayce appeared to me and said that he had a dreamworks class that he wanted me to channel and to teach. He continued to say that the spiritual manner in which I had been handling a number of the recent challenges in my life were being rewarded; one of the ways that I was being rewarded was by being gifted this class. (Incidentally, Edgar Cayce writes about who people are gifted with psychic knowledge for their spirituality. Thank you, spirit(s)/world/source/Edgar Cayce for the tremendous gift!)

I was amazed and overwhelmed with this gift, to say the least. I had trouble getting started with this project because part of me didn’t know how to get started and I must admit I felt unworthy.

I had channeled the basic structure of the class, but I knew that I needed to read up on what I was supposed to teach. I had a couple of his books and a few others that I wanted to buy. I was just having trouble picking up the books and actually reading them. I guess that I get distracted by too many things.

Yesterday, I just knew that I needed to take that book to the coffee shop and hunker down and get it done. What a delightful day I had: good atmosphere, great coffee, leisure, an incredible book and I felt as though I stepped through the doorway into another world without limits (just like Alice in Wonderland).

Edgar Cayce’s book on Dreams was that gateway into my heaven. It helped me to see the limitless resources in using our dreams to answer life’s queries, get hints on how to improve our lives on all levels and see into the future.

I was so anxious to start this journey that I have read a good portion of the book and have begun my journey with dreams. I set out ready for my adventure with notebook and pencil near my bed and the intent that I would remember my dreams.

When I awoke I promptly wrote down my dream with as much detail as possible. Then I did as instructed and continue to think about my dream. I must admit that there is a level of depth to my dream, almost like a movie, that I have to think about and analyze, from an analytical and intuitive level, that I had never seen before. Out of one dream I got several lessons and I think that there is more in there; I just am not perceptive enough, yet, to truly “get” it.

When I returned home I also remembered that in the middle of the night I jotted down something. I don’t really understand what the meaning of “woman/stairs” and a reference to one of my divination cards (in ineligible writing) is. However, maybe it will become more clear to me if I think about it. [NOTE: I did, later, research the "Mana Card" by Kalama Becker and Doya Nardin and it was "Hina" (I wrote down "Hine") and it's name meant "Moon Goddess"/nurturing. In her meaning something that stuck out as important is her connection to healing and that "she can be a reminder that in order for something to grow, it needs to be nurtured." The card and the steps/stairs told me that I was taking steps to heal through my dream work which was exactly my intent. Thank you dream work for providing the means for me to heal! Thank you Edgar Cayce!]

Since this post I have been collecting my dreams, daily and have come up with the following conclusions about dreams. This list is not comprehensive as I have learned much more and will continue to learn more as I study my dreams.

Thought One: Edgar Cayce talks about other dreams and other elements to dreams. Other than being guides to how to improve life there are dreams and dream part that are prophetic. I have had several prophetic dreams. One that is particularly memorable was from nearly 20 years ago. I was taking a nap during the day and dreamed that our neighbors were robbed and that the robbers were in a van. I got up and started talking to the neighbor. He said that a van slowed down nearly to a stop and acted like they were checking out their house. A few days later that house was robbed.

Thought Two: I realized that my dreams were trying to tell me about patterns in my life that I was not conscious about. If I didn't want to hear the lesson, if it was hard to hear then I, actually, would have trouble sleeping because I didn't want to hear the lesson being place in front of me. I am finding that dreams are the gateway to your unconscious mind and I am seeing a lot patterns in my life that I might not have been able to see so clearly if I were not paying attention to my dreams. I am hoping that being aware of such patterns will help me, eventually, to work through and break through these patterns.

Thought Three: I had dreams, two nights in a row, that spoke about the exact same subject. Harmon Bro talks about this in his book, Edgar Cayce on dreams. I have noticed that I will have the same message repeated (for me it is three times in a row). If I am unclear about the meaning of a dream I usually wait it out and see if it keeps repeating. Through experience I have learned to wait for repeated dreams. If the dreams repeat themselves (not exactly the content but definitely the meaning) I am more confident of the message that the dream is trying to tell me.

Thought Four: I had an “advice” dream that I am really appreciating. I got three, very important tips for my classes. Thank you so much for the notes of encouragement. My dreams are my teachers. Yay! I love to teach, but I must admit that when you teach you are just as much the student. I learn every time I teach.

Thought Five: I noticed that I need some time to process some of the dreams as their meaning is not straight-forward. And, just like much of life, their meaning is multi-layered in that there may be significant messages on several levels, symbology that must be analyzed for meaning and things that I just have to digest a bit to understand.

Thought Six: I have been setting forth the intention that I will remember my dreams. For the most part I am remembering my dreams. I definitely could do a better job with the recall. I don’t know how, yet to do this without disrupting my already disrupted sleep (I tend to fight bouts of chronic insomnia). Sometimes I get up and write down the dreams in the middle of the night but then going back to sleep is somewhat of a challenge.

Sometimes I have trouble with the immediate recall of my dreams, however, if I focus on trying to remember my dreams I will eventually remember the dream piece by piece. I just have to peck at it piece by piece. For instance, last night I remembered that there was a pig and an elephant in my dream. Then I remembered my interaction with these animals, then I remembered where I was and what I was doing before I encountered the animals. Then I remembered what happened after I encountered the animals and the pieces of the dream fell into place just like the pieces of a Tetris game.

I am still continuing to record my dreams and have learned so much about myself and life. I continue to learn and hope some day to share this knowledge with you. Thanks for listening. Oh,...and happy dreaming!
